First Day of Spring

Maybe not officially, and certainly not warm enough, but today spring was in the air. I held an open house on one of my listings in Naperville. The "Open House" signs slid into the ground without too much effort and my feet were covered with mud, so that is evidence of a thaw right there. Then, what do you know, but people CAME. In a 2 hour open house, I had 6 groups come through. Two were self-proclaimed "nosy neighbors" but we like those visitors too. The other four were all at different stages of seriousness in looking for a house.

After doing two years of Open Houses, most where I kept myself busy eating my delicious Jewel Open House cookies, this was a welcome change indeed.

If I could guess, I would say a change is coming in the market.
